Academic Year

     “ But seek first the Kingdom of GOD and HIS righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
(Matthew 6: 33)

St. Andrew’s High

The school’s vision is focused on all of our students, regardless of background and circumstances, to acknowledge, desire GOD’s righteous to rule in their lives and to make outstanding progress and achievement which will open the door to the future according to GOD’s purpose for their lives.

As the LORD’s prayer ;

Our Father in Heaven. Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come. Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our Daily Bread and forgive us our debts. As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever. Amen.

We want our students to be curious and develop a thirst for;   JESUS CHRIST to be their LORD and personal Savior

We want them to:

  • be resilient and to value effort.
  • understand that sometimes failure is an important part of the learning process
  • recognize that developing a positive, “can do” attitude will help them to set and achieve aspirational goals.

The students is at the heart of everything we do in St. Andrew’s High School. We do understand that achieving our vision, we need to ensure that we are developing a thirst for knowledge in all of our students.

          Every teacher needs to improve, not because they are not good enough, but because they can be even better.(Dylan William)

Changing practice in a difficult process, sometimes we have to stop something good to do something better, but the impact that can be made on student achievement and always making it the priority.

2022 has been most challenging due to the Volcanic Eruption on the 15th January and later the outbreak of COVID-19 in February which still takes effect and is postponing the incoming of students for the academic year due to public safety.

Many thanks to our staff and the Tonga Fire Department on all their efforts in the cleaning and restoring of the school premises from the volcanic ash damages. Though the school is mostly closed the staff has been organized to work from home developing and submitting lessons plans and materials to school to be available to our students from home.

Fakafeta’i ki he ‘EIKI! Now St. Andrew’s High School students can do their study through internet (online). Fakamalo lahi kia Taniela Koloamatangi! For the great effort and the commitment to develop the website. Thank you for making our dreams come true! One constraint is down!! Next dream is for every teacher to have a laptop and to have access to the internet to be able to upload the notes to the website as well as being able to chat / zoom with the students online.

We are aiming to create a learning environment which will provide students with opportunities to make sense of the information/notes they receive and creating “personal meaning” from it.

Thank you all for your continued support for the school in all areas. We are hopeful that 2022 though challenging can still come out a productive and memorable academic year.
